A Beautiful Mess

It’s a beautiful mess

We really must clean up

But I enjoy the concept

Of our clutter so very much

 

Books, bags, bottles

Loose clothes and love letters

A mess of yours and mine

Intermingled together

 

As I marvel at a

Dirty breakfast dish

I realize the manifestation

of a forgotten wish

 

I know it is only clutter

But, to me, it is art

To see our things in harmony

Brings joy to my heart
