A Ray of Golden sun

​

I could be anything

They told me

And so I chose to be

A ray of golden sun

 

A sliver of a star

Sparkling on the sea

Dusting faces with freckles

And giving direction to seedlings

 

A spotlight on the stage of life

Lighting lives, soft then fiery

A new day, enduring hope

Closing in a colorful finale.
