An Ode the Present Moment

The tears fall and

I remember late summer

When I thought

Nothing tasted better than

Salt water on skin

From a dip in the ocean

Or from a dip within

Feeling the emotions

And letting go of the erosion

I cling to imminent anxieties,

matter, and memories

But I know my devotion

Is better served

to the present moment
