Bubble

Bubble

Your world is a bubble
A beautiful, fragile thing
That is begging for reality
Before it disappears
Into nether.
Never ever did I dream
Your pretty plastic perspective
Would be toxic on my tongue
Masculinity masquerades in fear
And I fear
Objectification and ego
Hide in the soft, sweet words
And become bitter when
the bubble bursts, exposing
Your own vulnerability.
