No Rules, All Write

I took the rule book

I inherited from society

And read each page carefully

Before tearing them out

One by one

Some I recited aloud

For nostalgia and memory

Or tucked in my back pocket

For safekeeping

But for the most part

Each leaf left my window

And the wind

Carried it away

From my consciousness

From my reality

Now each day

I take a blank page

And live life my way

I cocreate with

My highest self

Free of guilt and shame

Pen in hand 

on an earthly plane.
